Baton Rouge
Public Finance: Jones Walker seeks a lateral attorney with at least 5–7 years of experience, specifically in Municipal Bonds/Public Finance.
- Must have extensive experience serving as bond counsel on general governmental issues, private activity issues, single- and multi-family housing issues, qualified 501(c)(3) issues, refundings and general obligation debt, as well as experience serving as underwriters counsel and with disclosure matters.
- Should have experience dealing with bond insurance, rating agencies, and with derivatives (swaps and gics).
- Must have good knowledge of arbitrage and federal tax code issues that deal with public finance.
- Prefer Louisiana experience, but not mandatory.
- Must have hands-on document work and be flexible and versatile in dealing with clients and working group members, managing closings, and attending meetings.
- Should be able to train younger attorneys.
- Should also be flexible to work late and weekends and attend occasional evening meetings, as many of our clients and boards meet at night.

Employee Benefits/ERISA: Jones Walker seeks a lateral attorney for this partnership-track associate position. The firm will also consider new LL.M. graduates. Ideal candidates for the Employee Benefits/ERISA associate position have a CPA degree and/or benefits consulting experience. Jones Walker has a 20-person Tax Practice Group with attorneys who specialize in Federal Income Tax (including partnership and international tax), Trusts and Estates, ERISA/Executive Compensation, State and Local Tax, and Tax/Fiduciary Litigation.
