On November 2, 2020, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) adopted amendments geared toward improving, harmonizing, and simplifying the complex exempt offering framework under the Securities Act of 1933 (Securities Act), with the specifically articulated objectives of promoting capital formation while preserving or enhancing important investor protections.
