Jonathan R. Katz, an associate in the firm’s Tax & Estates Practice Group, presented at the 19th Annual Tulane Estate Planning Institute sponsored by Tulane Law School on November 19, 2010, held in New Orleans. Mr. Katz’s speech “Everything an Estate Planner Needs to Know About Grantor Trusts,” discussed a wide range of issues pertaining to grantor trusts including, what they are, how they work, and why they are used. Other presentations made at the event covered a variety of topics including, “Recent Developments in Successions, Donations, and Trusts” and “How to Use Conservation Easements in Estate Planning.”
