Carmen Rodriguez is a partner in the Litigation Practice Group. Carmen’s role on litigation teams centers on analysis, case evaluation, research, and briefing at the district and appellate levels.
Carmen’s substantive practice is varied and includes admiralty, commercial litigation, administrative law, telecommunications, environmental and toxic tort litigation, and insurance coverage and fraud. She has considerable experience with complex cases, including multidistrict litigation and class actions. She was recently appointed deputy special master for the In re: Actos (Pioglitazone) Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 2299, in the US District Court for the Western District of Louisiana.
Before joining Jones Walker, Carmen worked for Longman Russo, APLC, in the same capacity. She also worked for Liskow & Lewis as a litigator in the areas of toxic tort litigation, admiralty, bank director and officer litigation, energy litigation, and commercial disputes.
From 1992 to 1993 and 2003 to 2006, Carmen served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Rebecca F. Doherty of the US District Court for the Western District of Louisiana. She also clerked for the Honorable Richard T. Haik of the US District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, from 1993 to 1996, with special assignment to the Combustion, Inc., multi-district environmental litigation.
