Cecile Nicolson is an associate in the Corporate Practice Group, where she represents clients in corporate, real estate, and other commercial matters.
Cecile advises private and public companies, institutional investors, lenders, and other firm clients. In her corporate practice, she handles business-formation matters and routinely drafts bylaws and other legal documents for nonprofit and for-profit corporations. Additionally, Cecile researches regulatory issues, conducts merger and acquisition due diligence, and prepares other business succession documents.
In the real estate arena, she represents buyers, developers, and equity investors in the purchase, sale, and development of a wide variety of properties. Cecile drafts and reviews leases, purchase and sale agreements, servitudes/easements, loan, and security-related transaction documents as well as various other contracts and agreements. She also researches and handles title and survey matters (including title curative work and exceptions), land use and permitting, environmental issues, landowner compensation, evictions, and more.
While earning her law degree, Cecile served as a law clerk at various firms. She was editor-in-chief of the American Journal of Trial Advocacy and a deputy justice at the Cumberland Honor Court. Cecile was also a Scholar of Merit/CALI Award recipient for both business organizations and real estate transactions.
