Elizabeth De Leon is an associate in the Litigation Practice Group and a member of the bankruptcy & restructuring team.
Elizabeth represents clients in a broad range of bankruptcy-related matters, including insolvencies, restructurings, reorganizations, and out-of-court workouts.
Prior to joining Jones Walker, Elizabeth served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Meredith S. Grabill of the US Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. While in law school, she clerked for Chief Justice Bonnie Sudderth of the Court of Appeals for the Second District of Texas, Legal Aid of Northwest Texas, and the US Trustee Program. Outside of litigation and bankruptcy, Elizabeth also served as a law clerk for the general counsel of a global services company for one year.
Graduating in the top 5% of her class from Texas A&M University School of Law, Elizabeth was senior articles editor of the Texas A&M Law Review, Vol. 8, in which she is a published author. She also was a Public Interest Fellowship recipient for her work at Legal Aid as a research assistant.
