Lauren Rose is special counsel in the Maritime Practice Group and a member of the white collar and compliance and insurance coverage teams.
Lauren is a highly experienced and respected litigator who handles various litigation, pre-litigation, arbitration, and appellate matters. She has deftly defended claims involving catastrophic injury or death and complex international law, including the Death on the High Seas Act and the Athens Convention.
In her maritime practice, Lauren has represented and counseled the world’s largest cruise lines and shipping companies and their underwriters. She regularly defends matters involving claims for Jones Act negligence, unseaworthiness, maintenance and cure, and maritime personal injury.
In addition to her maritime litigation practice, Lauren handles general litigation disputes, including contract disputes, insurance claims, non-maritime personal injury claims, and white collar defense.
Prior to joining Jones Walker, Lauren served as an assistant state’s attorney for Miami-Dade County, Florida, where she handled DUI, general felony, drug trafficking, and sexual battery cases, and was a special prosecutor in the Economic Crimes Division.
