Patsy Parkin provides broad-ranging compliance services to community banks and other financial institutions.

Patsy is an experienced, certified regulatory compliance manager who works closely with community and regional banks, credit unions, thrifts, and other financial institutions to implement, manage, and update their federal and state compliance programs.

Together with Jones Walker’s banking and financial services attorneys, Patsy and her team of compliance specialists provide guidance on today’s most pressing compliance concerns. For example, she provides full-spectrum consulting on federal and state laws and regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act, the Community Reinvestment Act, the Consumer Credit Protection Act, the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Fair Housing Act, the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act, the Truth in Lending Act, and other fair lending and consumer protection regulations.

Upon request, Patsy and her team also provide training to boards, executives, and front-line staff that helps financial institutions better understand their regulatory requirements.

Early in her career, Patsy worked at several highly regarded banks and bank holding companies including First National Bank of Jackson (now Trustmark) and then Deposit Guaranty National Bank. After starting her consultant practice, she quickly became a go-to advisor for financial institutions throughout the southeastern United States. Patsy also is a sought-after speaker, an author, and an educator on the myriad compliance issues facing financial services providers and their boards of directors, committees, senior executives, and compliance officers.

Patsy is committed to community service and volunteers with members of her church for mission projects throughout the Jackson metropolitan area and other Mississippi communities. She is also a member of her church’s Sanctuary Choir, teaches in the student ministry, and visits with senior adult church members.
