Bobby House is a partner in the Corporate Practice Group. He focuses his practice on insurance regulatory, corporate, administrative, and public policy law.
Bobby provides general counsel representation to several insurance and insurance-related entities, including residual market mechanisms. He advises insurers on company formation and licensing, mergers and acquisitions, Form A and other insurance holding company system filings, reinsurance transactions, financial and market conduct examinations, legislation, and administrative rules and regulations.
With substantial experience in the area of troubled company and insurance company insolvency matters, Bobby also represents insurance guaranty associations as well as rehabilitators and liquidators of several insurance companies. He also participates in the representation of insurers in connection with business and regulatory-related litigation matters.
Bobby is a past chairman and president of the Federation of Regulatory Counsel, Inc., a professional association of insurance regulatory and corporate lawyers formed for the purpose of raising the standard of excellence in the practice of regulatory law. He is a past chair of the Insurance Regulation Committee of the American Bar Association's Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section and is a member of the International Association of Insurance Receivers. He regularly attends meetings of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners and is a certified public accountant.
