Samantha Oppenheim is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group and a member of the bankruptcy & restructuring team.
Samantha's practice focuses on complex bankruptcy and restructuring matters, with a particular emphasis on mass tort Chapter 11 cases. Drawing on her keen understanding of the intricacies of bankruptcy law, Samantha has experience representing creditors, debtors, and official and ad hoc committees in bankruptcy courts across the country. She also represents clients in commercial disputes outside the bankruptcy context and has experience in federal appellate practice.
Prior to joining Jones Walker, Samantha served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Martin L.C. Feldman of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. She is a graduate of Tulane University Law School, where she earned her juris doctor degree summa cum laude and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. During law school, Samantha served as a notes and comments editor of the Tulane Law Review and a senior fellow for the Legal Research & Writing course. She also earned seven CALI awards for achieving the highest grade in various courses.
