Tarak Anada is a partner in the Litigation Practice Group. He represents clients across the industry spectrum, including oil and gas, construction, maritime, and healthcare companies.
Tarak is a seasoned trial attorney. His broad multi-industry experience enables him to develop effective litigation strategies geared toward achieving decisive and cost-effective wins for his clients.
Tarak has won jury trials, judge trials, and arbitrations; negotiated settlements; and pursued successful appeals on behalf of Fortune 500 multinational corporations, emerging growth companies, and startups in the energy, environmental, offshore drilling, maritime, construction, healthcare, life sciences, food and agriculture, and other sectors. Whether defending well-known brands or handling claims that threaten the very existence of a new company, Tarak understands the unique pressures and rapidly emerging issues facing businesses at every stage. Among other examples, he recently secured major litigation victories for companies in the COVID-19 testing space that are being threatened by unfair trade practices as well as cutting-edge food manufacturers that are being threatened by unconstitutional governmental regulations.
In addition to his work on behalf of business clients, Tarak has represented individuals and organizations in numerous pro bono matters, including civil rights cases. Committed to educating the next generation of lawyers, Tarak also serves as an adjunct professor of law at the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center, where he teaches a pretrial litigation seminar course.
