Zach is a finance and tax attorney with a focus on tax-advantaged financing transactions. He regularly represents institutional investors, project developers, lenders, community development entities, and nonprofit organizations in connection with new markets tax credit and historic tax credit transactions, both locally and across the United States. Zach’s engagements have included sourcing and securing funding for industrial projects; operating businesses; mixed-use, commercial, and residential real estate developments; hotels; and manufacturing facilities. He also has advised clients with respect to property, sales, use, and income tax incentives; fee in lieu of property tax agreements; real estate–secured tribal transactions; and the negotiation of traditional debt instruments.
With a deep understanding of the complexities and rewards of tax credit programs, Zach provides sophisticated counsel and engagement management services that recognize the time- and cost-sensitive nature of these transactions. He works closely with clients to clarify their goals and identify effective strategies for achieving these objectives.
Zach also has experience serving as bond, trustee, disclosure, and underwriter’s counsel for a variety of public finance clients, as well as representing domestic and international gaming companies and gaming equipment manufacturers and distributors in a broad range of legal and regulatory matters.
