David Hunter is a partner in the Corporate Practice Group, where he focuses on energy law and project finance.
David concentrates his energy practice primarily on offshore oil and gas development, representing companies in transactional, regulatory, and contractual matters. He regularly represents buyers and sellers of mineral properties and pipeline facilities, as well as the lenders in these transactions. He also provides advice on BOEM lease obligations, bonding and abandonment requirements, and all elements of regulatory compliance under the BOEM and BSEE scheme.
On the project finance side, David has handled financing for the development of major infrastructure projects, including chemical plants, pipeline systems, offshore processing facilities, hydrocarbon storage projects, and LNG facilities (with many of these projects involving assets in Louisiana and Texas).
David has taught classes in advanced oil and gas at Tulane University Law School.
